Good conversations. Then silence.

So you spend time with a team. Good conversations. Ideas shared. Maybe even do a bit of work together. Then… silence.
Follow up email. Nothing. Call. Voicemail. (You know they’ve seen it.)
So you move on. Then a few months later — they’re back like nothing happened. And you’re there for them. No hard feelings.
The funny thing is… we all do it. Things shift. Priorities change. Something else becomes more urgent. It’s probably just part of the job. But it does make me think… With all this talk about AI taking the admin, the follow-ups, the chasing… Do we actually get more time to be human in our relationships? Or just get faster at going quiet on each other? Because every time I sit back down with someone after one of those gaps… It’s obvious the relationship never went anywhere. Just paused.
